News & Events

Genesis and Phil Collins have been in the news and on TV screens these last few nights. Just for fun we’ve looked at which of our book titles relate to Genesis songs. (We haven’t stretched to Phil Collins songs yet.)

One is fairly obvious. The other link is more tenuous and, as it doesn’t relate to a megahit, we’re all the prouder of it!

9781910829035The obvious one: brilliant YA/adult crossover novel Follow Me by Victoria Gemmell, which of course relates to Follow Me, Follow You (off And Then There Were Three, 1978)

img111The less obvious one? A Sacred Cause: The Inter-Congolese Dialogue 2000-2003 by P E Winter. The link to that one is Congo, off the 1997 album Calling All Stations. No Phil Collins on that one, it was Ray Wilson instead. Apparently the song has nothing to do with Congo the country. The book, however, certainly does – the author was a key part of the team that worked to resolve the conflict there – a conflict that cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

Do let us know if you can spot any links we’ve missed! The more tenuous the better!
