You will not generally require permission to reproduce a few lines of a novel if you are simply reviewing it or otherwise quoting the words in the context of criticism.
Permission should be sought in most other instances, e.g. if you are seeking to include a quote from a work at the start of another book, or if you are seeking to include part of one of our works in a compilation. Reproducing without permission may be deemed a breach of copyright.
To request permission, please contact us at info@stridentpublishing.co.uk.
A permission fee may be payable. We try to keep these reasonable.
We try to turn around permission requests as quickly as possible. However it is wise to seek permission early as there can sometimes be delays, e.g. if we in turn need to seek permission from an author’s estate.
