Yes, author, songwriter, singer and guitarist Paul Murdoch is living the dream – he’s on a Stones tour.
Okay, so it’s not the Rolling Stones. We’re talking standing stones. (What Mick Jagger & Co will become in the next few years?)
Paul’s inspiration for The Peck Chronicles came partly from regular visits to the ring of standing stones near his home near Loch Lomond. In the series they’ve morphed into the Jesus Rocks (so named because of something written on them). It’s not giving too much away to say that they’re important in the story.
Now Paul is touring schools located near similar stones, sharing Talisman, Citadel and Tyrant and working with pupils to discover the myths and facts behind their town of village’s circles. And it’s amazing how many have them. Stops so far have included the Aberdeen area, Skye and Lewis, with many more to come.
Here’s the trailer for Paul’s tour (takes you to Paul’s website).
